Under: Site Set UpHow to Set Up a Site-Specific Safety Station
A Safety Station displays key health and safety messages at an easily identifiable, central point, ensuring team members know exactly where to find the information and equipment they need. The Defender Safety Station is a fully customisable solution which can be personalised to meet your unique site requirements.
Our safety champions and in-house design team are on standby to create a communications solution that works optimally for you and your employees.
Identifying Your Needs
The first step in the process is to identify your requirements, usually assessed alongside your safety plan and risk assessments. All designs start with a base trolley – often a fire point. Then, depending on the hazards at your site, further modules are added to meet your needs.
Additional boards can include:
- Site rules and key site info
- Dry wipe hazard alert board
- Wireless fire alarm base station
- Emergency first aid
- Defibrillator and resuscitation information
- Spill control kit
- Hand care station
Designing a Safety Station
Once your boards and equipment are chosen, we assess angles of vision and footfall to inform the best layout and design. Safety Stations come in 5 standard set ups: single stand, 3-way triangular island, adjustable 3-way stand, 4-way square island and 6-way hexagonal island. These different set ups create countless configurations to suit a wide range of settings.
Our dedicated in-house design team will create your first stage plans, including corporate artwork and logos in full colour graphics to ensure your Safety Station is on-brand.
Installation
Once you’re 100% happy with your design, we print and assemble. With our legendary before noon next day delivery service, you can have your new communications system up and running in no time.
