Introducing the JSP PowerCap® Infinity®

The innovative design provides 4 in 1 protection with respiratory, head, eye and face defences all neatly packaged into a simple head top unit. Sonis® ear defenders can also be added when hearing protection is needed.

1 - Respiratory Protection

Gone are the days of cumbersome and restrictive waist-mounted units. The PowerCap® Infinity® uses high capacity HEPA filters coupled with aerodynamically optimised pre-filter covers. This dynamic duo delivers 160 litres per minute of clean air to the user with maximum battery efficiency.  Smart technology automatically adjusts air delivery to up to 230 litres to maintain air supply in periods of higher respiratory need.

With high performance and user well-being in mind, JSP worked in partnership with leading motorsport dynamicists to develop an airflow system which avoids misting and increases wearer comfort. The filters can be easily replaced using an intuitive quick-change bayonet system.

The PowerCap® Infinity® offers respiratory protection to TH3, with a Nominal Protection Factor of 500 (UK APF 40). TH3 is the highest possible rating in the EN 12941:1998 + A2:2008 standard.

2 - Head Protection

The PowerCap® Infinity® incorporates a high performance JSP EVO®5 Olympus® industrial safety helmet. This ultra-tough helmet combines a strong ABS shell designed for superior all-day protection with the comfort benefits of the Evolution® 3D-Adjustment™ harness system.

The EVO®5 Olympus® passes all of the relevant international industrial safety helmet standards: conforming to: EN397 (European Standard). ANSI/ISEA Z89.1 (American National Standard). CSA Z94.1 (Canadian Standard). GB2811 (Chinese Standard).

3 - Eye and Face Protection

Wearing sufficient eye protection is vital when team members are exposed to projectiles or hazardous particles during a work task. The panoramic visor of the PowerCap® Infinity® provides a clear view for technicians as well as superior eye and face protection.

Conforming to EN166.B, the PowerCap® Infinity® visor offers impact protection at speeds of up to 270 mph (tested using a 6mm steel ball bearing). It also has a K rated anti-scratch coating and a replaceable peel-off visor protector to prolong its life.

4 - Hearing Protection*

Approximately 17,000 people in the UK suffer deafness, tinnitus or other ear conditions caused by excessive noise at work. For technicians who require hearing protection, the PowerCap® Infinity® can seamlessly integrate with Sonis® helmet mounted ear defenders.

These exceptional ear defenders where designed by the JSP R&D team, alongside a leading UK acoustic engineering research facility, to ensure high performance. The Sonis® helmet mounted range peaks at an unbeaten 36 SNR. The helmet adaptor and the cushion surface area work together to provide optimal cushion pressure and comfort.

*Sonis® helmet mounted ear defenders are optional.

User Responsive Smart PPE

The PowerCap® Infinity® uses real time diagnostics to monitor the system and the wearer twice per second and provide accurate, dynamic feedback. The base level respirator provides 160 litres of clean air per minute with minimal battery drain, while smart technology constantly monitors user activity. During periods of high respiratory demand, air supply is automatically increased up to 230 litres to maintain a positive pressure inside the respirator and eliminate the risk of breathing in contaminated air. Feedback is also given on battery life and filter condition via the heads-up display and audible notifications.

Easy Maintenance

When designing the PowerCap® Infinity®, JSP knew that the 4 in 1 system must not only seamlessly integrate, but also be simple to disassemble for ease of maintenance. Key elements are user-replaceable to allow easy maintenance and cleaning. This includes the filters, filter covers, visor, peel-off visors, helmet, harness strap, turbo drive unit and carrier, battery pack, visor seal, charging dock, air flow indicator test unit and carry case.
